Concept of Mucize Mirror
Introduction
The Mucize Mirror [mucize: turkish for miracle] merges a mirror surfaced display with the urban environment and creates rich visual experience “within the mirror” using the user, newly added imagery and parts of the mirrored or distorted real environment. A common object - the mirror - becomes extraordinary. The user curiously reacts to the unexpected.
Description
The project concentrates on the fact that people like to play and interact with simple things. We found out that people tend to take a lot out of simple mirror surfaces they are confronted with in the daily city life. Our intention was to create a richer user experience by expandig the possibilities people are already having with mirrors. The most important emotions we want to invoke are having fun and enthusiasm when people pass by and realize a normal mirror reacting in a much different way than usually.

How are we doing it?
The Mirror relies on a technology that has not yet been developed which shall combine the possibilities of a display with the features of a mirror. A prototype-Setup could be created through nowadays user tracking and back projection. Basically it’s about taking out people of their common surrounding by exchanging everything of the mirrored image but themselves which can take them into a whole different world.
